101 Beer Kitchen (3 Locations – Westerville, Gahanna and Dublin, OH)

101 Beer Kitchen is a one-of-a-kind establishment in Columbus and you’ll always find it packed on Friday and Saturday evenings. The ambience is awesome and will appeal to a variety of folks with the inviting decor and layout of the restaurant. The service is great and the bartenders are very knowledgeable about the 101 beers available to choose from – 20 on tap and 81 bottles. The food is made from scratch with a rustic touch – I definitely recommend the housemade tater tots as an appetizer. This is one location I recommend to anyone – both visitors and locals that haven’t tried it for themselves!

Bob’s Bar (Columbus, OH)

Bob’s Bar is a neighborhood tavern situated between Clintonville and Worthington. It may not look all that fancy on the outside, but inside you’ll be greeted with a wide selection of approximately 240 beers, including 36 drafts. If you’re looking to score some swag, pay the $10 registration fee and sign up for their World Tour. It contains a list of 130 beers and if you drink them all (there’s no time limit) you’ll get a t-shirt and 25-oz mug that you can fill for the price of a pint any time you bring it with you. Bob’s is the place to be!

Drink Beer - Ohio - The Daily Growler

The Daily Growler (3 locations – Powell, Upper Arlington and Columbus, OH)

The Daily Growler is a bar/growler-filling mecca. They have 60 fresh craft beers on draft and Happy Hour 7 days a week. Kegs are frequently rotated and you can request sampler sizes, full pints, or get a growler-to-go of your favorite brew.

Drink Beer - Ohio - North High Brewing

North High Brewing (Columbus, OH)

North High Brewing truly has a lot to offer. Thirsty? They have 30 beers on tap with an average of 10 of their own microbrews available on any given day. If you’re undecided, simply request a flight – they come on cool redwood paddles recycled from the bleachers at The Ohio State Stadium! Want to learn to brew? Take advantage of North High’s brewing-on-premise options. I’ve brewed there myself – easy breezy! Already a homebrewer? You can also purchase equipment, ingredients and supplies for all levels of expertise, and even enjoy a beer while you shop.

Wurst und Bier (Columbus, OH)

Located in Worthington’s Columbus Crosswoods at the interchange of I-270 and US 23, Wurst Und Bier (which translates to sausages and beer) is a great location if you are looking for German food and a very respectable beer selection – including many German beers of course! With large screen TVs, towers and boots for your beer, and live German entertainment most evenings, you can’t go wrong!

The Dayton Beer Company – (2 locations – Dayton and Kettering, OH)

The first true microbrewery in Dayton in over 50 years, all of their beers are hand-crafted in small batches using their own unique recipes. The beer list changes weekly and there are often beers that are only available in the tap-room at the brewery.

Yellow Springs Brewery (Yellow Springs, OH)

Yellow Springs Brewery was opened April 13, 2013 by Nate Cornett and his wife (and co-owner) Lisa Wolters. They focus primarily on one very important belief – local craft beer produced on a small scale is better and fresher than anything you can get from a corporate conglomerate – I can say that I definitely agree with this philosophy!

Drink Beer - Austin - Bangers

Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden (Austin, TX)

Banger’s boasts the largest sausage selection in Austin and also has over 100 beers on draft – and nestled in the heart of the Rainey Street District it won’t disappoint. You can choose to sit inside at the bar or tables, or outside on one of the long community-seating picnic tables underneath the shade of tall trees. If you have a dog there is even a leash-less mini dog park outside so you dog can mingle while you get your drink on. If you’re vegetarian you’ll find options on the menu to accommodate you as well – even sausage – with choices of smoked mushroom & asparagus or beet & goat cheese.
